<p dir="auto">I met Mr. McCarthy in a plumbing store in Van Nuys, CA. I recognized him and said "hello" and that I really loved "Body Snatchers." He was very gracious and friendly. He asked me about myself and I told him I was an aspiring screenwriter. He said that the writing is "where it all starts. None of us in this business could do anything if we didn't have you writers."<br />
Because of this experience, I've always thought very highly of him. He seemed to be a very kind and humble man. I'm sad to hear that he's gone.</p>
