<p dir="auto">When she guest star in The Man from U.N.C.L.E, my aunt said the same thing too that she looks like the old Barbie from the 50s &amp; 60s.</p>

<p dir="auto">Anne Francis was not the inspiration for the Barbie doll.  Yes I do believe they were trying to make her look like a barbie doll  ( in particular at the end ) but the barbie doll has its origins  back several years from that TZ episode.  The Barbie dolls creator Ruth Handler based the doll on the german doll Bild Lilli which she had seen in 1956 and she named it after her daughter.   The Barbie doll debuted at the American International Toy Fair in New York, March 1959.  The tz episode aired June 1960.  But yes she does look like a Barbie doll in that episode.<br />
Regardless of all that, RIP Ms. Francis.  Loved you in Twilight Zone and the Golden Girls and lots of other things.</p>
