i realize that Fury Road was a hit and that is why he's now in the cat bird's seat for the sequels and prequels…
but it's really a shock that the original director from decades ago was given the chance to direct the remake in the first place, and then to suddenly have so much power…
especially having dropped off the face of the earth after doing things like Babe: Pig in the City and the Happy Feet films
AND the fact he killed the orig MM franchise with Theond Blunderdome
