Well, as a female who's done the period thing for 22 years, to me it looked like exactly what she said. First of all, under normal circumstances, the blood doesn't trickle like that (unless you're not wearing a thing to collect it, are in the shower or wore an overloaded tampon into a swimming pool). Contrary to popular belief, only about 2 tablespoons of actual blood are passed during a 5-7 day period. The rest is tissue. Second of all, it wasn't red. Even if she was in the shower or getting out of a pool, it would have to be pretty late in the game for the "blood" to be that shade of brown, at which point it's not blood at all - just discharge. And the texture of that discharge would absolutely NOT be of the trickling variety. Your username is a female's name - surely you knew all of that?
To me it looks like she got a fake tan or applied one of those temporary bronzing lotions, then went to this appearance where maybe the heat was on too high or the bright lights made the room overly warm. Then she started sweating. Knowledge of first-grade science explains what happens next.
