Just wanted to compliment your write up. Very well explained and organized thoughts. If I had the energy I'd attempt a more thoughtful reply but for now I'll say I read it, I enjoyed it, and I agree!!

So I don't know about the extra people in the musicalbut Sutton Foster (the lead actress who was Kinky Boots) was the star of a failed ABC Family show Amy had made called Bun Heads. Sutton is probably a good friend of Amy's and Amy probably loves herhence Amy gave her the job. Amy and Dan had a lot of people in it because they liked them.
I agree about the swearing and the overall tone of the show being somewhat different. Of course the original had some language as wellLorelai had a mouth on her. I think Emily and Lorelai worked through things well in Fall. Some things should have been buried a long time ago. However I think Emily ultimately manipulated Lorelai to eventually go to therapy on her own and work on her own problems.
Luke has always been grumpy. It's part of why he needs Lorelai in his life. And she loves it. That's their whole opposites attract yin and yang thing.
I agree the fat comments were dumb. Although they always made fun of fat people. They watched a movie once called Fatso. They are size 4 girlies who can apparently eat an entire pizza each in one sitting and not gain an ounce but other women who eat are gross. It's also great when they sit down to an entire spread of junk food and eat a bite of food. Although Lauren and Alexis say as the years went on they would ask for spit buckets because it was gross to eat that much with all the takes they would do, in real life they didn't eat that way. I think they requested to not have to eat that much as the years went on. Don't forget Amy wrote these ladies to be beautiful, smart, witty, cultured, irresistible super eaters that never lose what they got.

Nope, I didn't think it was inappropriate. It's a start-up, and the whole feel of the site is casual, so no; nothing wrong with what she wore. In fact, if she wore a suit I'd have thought "
wth, this isn't a newspaper!
" Julia's really pretty. She is a Ballerina (She doesn't dance professionally after her accident, but she used to be. ). She was in Bunheads as well, played Sasha. I do think she's thin, too, but as long as she's healthy, there's nothing wrong with being thin or chubby.

It was just really unexpected.
Paris lecturing the students at Chilton and all of them running out crying was perfect. Very old-school Gilmore Girls right there. I also loved Luke going to look at that restaurant with Emily and that woman. The part where they're talking right in front of the owner about what will happen to his business.
"He won't have a pot to piss in."
Every time Miss Voodoo is asleep Shelly walks hard as beep and it wakes her up.

She was freelance journalist, which is not a good job for someone that lazy and unprofessional like Rory. In the movies we see some offers, but neither worked out - So unemployed, no income, but she still shows no better attitude in working, no instead she takes up the SH Gazette, where she gets no money at all.
So either she is not really broke in the sense that someone is broke or she just knows, like always, she just has to go to Lorelai and Emily to get money.
So either it is crappy writing or the typical rose-colored glasses ASP has on when she writes about Rory.
But I never bought that Rory really is broke.
