she is so beautiful it almost hurts to look at her but when you hear her voice it really does hurt your ears. Her face could set 1,000 ships heading to Troy and her voice could make paint chip..

Yeah, I find her very beautiful and her voice is annoying. I don't understand why Shakira (who's also from Barranquilla, Colombia)doesn't have the thick awful accent like Sofia does, Shakira has a very sexy talking voice.

In her own words, Sofia says she has to 'play' the "Gloria" accent all the time so she won't forget it. Her real accent is b68much less exaggerated-I heard her speak English a few times on the 'Fuera de Serie' series she was on in the late 1990s.

That's RIDICULOUS. If she can't fall into that accent FIVE DAYS A WEEK WHILE THEY'RE REHEARSING EVERY DAY, and give the world a beep VACATION from having to listen to it between filming by DROPPING IT off-hours, she's no actress.
Her invasive sound makes me loathe her. She is beyond obnoxious. -

exactly, so then why does she constantly have to use her annoying tactic of speaking in an exaggerated Hispanic accent? you know how disrespectful to her people that this is? it's setting Hispanic people way back even further than they were before by using a stereotypically sounding Hispanic accent. I thought about that one time. how come on Fuera de Serie she doesn't sound annoying when speaking Spanish and then when reading on here that her English speaking voice is fake it suddenly all made sense to me. it's because on Fuera de Serie she doesn't speak in a fake, exaggerated accent. so why does she torture us by using an annoying Hispanic accent on everything English speaking thing she is in?

That actually makes sense to me. Billie Piper forgot how to do the accent she originally used on Doctor Who when she came back, and it was painfully obvious.
WORDS MEAN THINGS! Also, before you come to bitch about a plot hole, rewatch the show/movie. -

yeah, she's fake and is so insulting to hispanic people everywhere. this whole sterotype that they all speak with exaggerated, broken english sets hispanic people back 100 years. she should be ashamed of herself.
i noticed this while hearing her speak on fuera de serie. in spanish she sounded normal and not annoying. she needs to get back to this more attractive and actually tolerant way of talking. maybe, now, finally that modern family is over we will finally hear her speak normally and in her normal voice.

exactly why does she have to ruin herself by always speaking in the most God awful annoying voice ever? it's because it's fake and she can't act so she has to use the annoying and disrespectful to her other Hispanic people exaggerated accent.

that's the fault of the peop2000le making Modern Family.
in interviews she sounds nothing like that, she is soft spoken and has better accent.
Modern Family did this, I guess they wanted humor but they are using a stereotype that won't go away

a gimmick she needs to drop. you know how annoying her voice is on her show? it's the most annoying voice I've ever heard. you know how nice it would be if she used her real voice and accent. and what's so hard about using your real accent, or is it that the movies she is in also makes her use her exaggerated and annoying accent and voice?

very well put about both things. she is a case study in contradictions. she is one of the most beautiful girls who have ever lived and also has one of the most annoying voices that a girl has ever had. i've never seen this extreme of a case of a girl being hot and attractive and being annoying.
