I agree! Doug is a great person and actor and I feel that he has been harshly punished. Doug and his wife just celebrated their 2nd anniversary and she is over 18 now, and if they love each other and are happy than good for them! Hollywood is filled with hypocrites!

Courtney is still 18,but will be 19 in august. Yeah courtney's mother is showing support and the marriage is legal,bur i guess hollywood sees doug as some kind criminal,which im not calling him that.i think hollywood thinks its weird for men over 50 to be around young adults

It's crazy since hollywood embraces hollywood actors being married/dating women 30-40 years younger. Doug is married to this young woman and looks happy. Doug doesn't deserve to be shunned by Hollywood! Doug is a good actor, and deserves a chance! Hollywood sucks!

Only guys like tom cruise,brad pitt and johnny depp would be able to get away with marrying a teen if they tried because theyre a listers. I know about a year or so ago depp asked out a 18 or 19 year old model. Of course any teen would be happy if johnny depp asked them out,but sadly hollywood wont let doug date or marry a teen and leave him alone about it

^This! I agree! Any one of these A-listers would be accepted, but Doug gets made fun of because he is not considered "hollywood pretty boy" eventhough I think he is very handsome, and makes me annoyed since he is called "old" despite only being 52, and the media treats him like he's 80! He is a very talented actor and if he and his wife love each other, than I wish them all the best! Screw Hollywood and their hypocrisy!

Ditto^^^ I think if he can't get any more work in Hollywood he should start doing some independent films. Usually those movies are a lot better than most Hollywood films these days anyway! Hollywood is overrated. I am an actor but I have no desire to go there at all. Maybe since his agent quit he is just trying to promote Courtney now, maybe they think that will bring in more money, but I wish he would get out there and do more work for himself too. Seeing him in the Green Mile I think he is a great actor! If people like Chris Brown can still do what they want after beating up a young woman why can't Doug get work just because he married a young one? If this was in another country or back in the 50's people would not care, Priscilla was staying with Elvis when she was just 14! And I don't see Hugh Hefner having any problems doing what he loves either and he's old enough to be Doug's dad! Whatever..

Ditto^^^I totally agree with you, very beautifully said!!!!! I wish Doug all the best and to you also on your acting careers. I also find Hollywood not all that either, soo many young stars end up in a downward spiral due to hitting it in big in Hollywood, hope everything works out for you too, & I admire you for keeping grounded. I hope someday we get to see Doug independent films, & hope he & Courtney are truly happy, and wishing them all the best.

It's not that she is not over 18. It's that he married her when she was 16!! Of course her mother will approve it, both are gold-diggers. I'm not surprised at all he got shunned. I'm not saying it's right or anything, but I can understand it. What he did is super creepy. And dont tell me all about true love and soul-maktes and shait like that. He is in it for the hot piece of ass, she is in it for the money (I kind of doubt if he is even that rich. likely a millionaire but that money will run out awfully fast with no work and a trophy wife to support)

You're right; he's not a pedophile, if he were, he would have been caught at it a long time ago.
She's a "Lolita," is what she is. She using him, or probably thought she would use him to advance HER career, not realizing the backlash that the age difference would create.
He aint the best lookin guy in the world and the relationship separated him from his family, friends and probably deep-sixed his career so she is in complete control now.
I feel bad for him; he's now wrecked his career and she won't stay married to him if he won't be her meal ticket.
