That could be. Never the less, here's where I found the son of a late Sandy Dennis, who was an actress:

Wow. Very interesting and very well could be true. Sandy Dennis was a very private person who shunned the Hollywood spotlight. Remember, rumors of her lesbian relationships did not surface until after her death.

I read an article on him that said his mum was Sandy Dennis on Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf fame so its not another Sandy Dennis.
It could be true, there is a vague resemblance but then why would she hide it. I know she and Gerry Mulligan were never married. Didn't her niece say she never knew Sandy had a child. If this man was Sandy son, wouldn't he want to communicate with Sandy niece. Something odd there.
Its all so ambiguous, anything to do with Sandy Dennis. Ive read her memoirs and Boze Hadleigh book, which I think is a proper interview (some say its not), you can tell by how the answers flow and her destinctive manner of speaking.
In her book she mentions Gerry and other men she fell in love with but in Boze Hadleigh book it mention16d0s that she had many male friends who the media thought were lovers.
She definately had more than one lesbian realtionship, it touches on one relationship she had with a woman in her memoirs but also in Boze Hadleigh book, she touches on realationships with women. Of course when all these books came out, lesbianism was still looked upon and she also came from a time when homosexuality was still unacceptable. As it says in her book, Nebraska was a place of great conformity.
I definitely think that she was private for a reason and to my knowledge is the only actress the media could not get anything out of. She had few friends and kept herself to herself so it would always be hard to snoop around. I think she focused on her acing. She might have had a child, as she was never married the child would have been out of wedlock and back in the sixties that too was looked upon so that might be why she kept it quiet. But I hope this man isnt pretending to be her son to make a name for himself. -

I have another thread on this board concerning thisin a nutshell
USA Today did an article about street performers on Hollywood Boulevardthis person claiming to be Sandy's son was one of them (he was dressed up as Superman). He claimed to be her son in the article. I emailed USA Today inquiring about this, as I hadb68 always been a fan of hers and to my knowledge she never had children. They contacted him again, and asked him for proof. He said that yes, he was her son and would provide proof, but after 6 months and several unreturned phone calls to him from the newspaper, he never provided proof. They also contacted a few of Sandy's living relatives and they stated to their knowledge she never had any children.
Final note: He's not been seen on Hollywood Boulevard in some time. I recently went there myself and he wasn't there. I was wanting to confront him with this untruth. I even asked some of the other performers and they said he had basically disappeared some time ago.

I always knew there was something strange about the story.
I mean if she had a son surely she would have said in her autobiography. She wrote the autobiography when she was dying so she had nothing t1c84o hide. The autobiography I felt when I read it was freeing of her soul.
I think she was asexual myself. She might have had relationships with both sexes but ultimately enjoyed being alone more. -

Very good point. I also think she MAY have had relationships with both sexes, but in the end simply enjoyed her life in solitude with her mother and her cats.
Can't say I blame her, either

I met this "Superman" creep on Hollywood Blvd (he was fairly well-known
there several years ago) when I was shooting an indie short. He was
a creepy guy, friendly and all, but I wouldn't put much stock in what
he says. -

I mean, it's one thing for a man to hide his paternityBut a woman to hide she has a son? Nobody saw her pregnant, or was she just in hiding for 9 months?
To me, she never had a son and this man just saw one of her films, became infatuated with her and starting telling people she was his mother.
I remember reading that Anna Nicole Smith told some people she believed Marilyn Monroe was her mother, althought this was easy to prove wrong, since Monroe died before Smith was born.
