I read somewhere that at the time of her death, she had many cats and dogs and lived in Connecticut with her mom. She must have been a very kind hearted soul. I alsolutely loved her in Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf". One of the best movies I've ever seen. Everyone in it was amazing. I watch it over and over and never get tired of seeing it. I guess it's true that the good die young.

I am in total agreement. Sandy Dennis was a great actress. I would b68list her performances in "Up the Down Staircase" and "Sweet November" up there with Virginia Woolf.

I read somewhere that Tim Reid adopted one of her cats, and I vaguely remember reading that Steve Martin might've got one too.
