That's awkward.

What's awkward about it? Plenty of single mothers still live at home. And why does anyone live with anyone? Convenience, support, affordability, etc.
There's really no right or wrong living arrangement. Everyone's needs are different. "Pull yourself up by your bootstraps" is classist bullcrap that died with Reagan, and it really shouldn't pertain to single mothers who have a hard enough time as it is. -

The POINT is that if she wasn’t ready (emotionally/financially) ready to be a mother she shouldn’t have gotten pregnant in the first place.
Was she knocked up? Even worse. That bitch is irresponsible and selfish.

That’s a pretty common arrangement these days. Most jobs don’t pay a living wage anymore. Even most college degree occupations guarantee no such success. And AI will be replacing many of the jobs that do, starting within the next decade.
Long gone are the days when my grandfather paid $6k for his house in Oakland CA, in the 1940’s. Yes, that was a lot of money in the 1940’s. But not so much money that the average person couldn’t own a home. Both sets of grandparents paid off their homes within about 10 years.
