This guy looked like an out to lunch idiot in The Ruins.

Well, basically he stares off into the distance for the whole movie. I think he's supposed to be the "deep thinking character" but really just ends up silly and dumb. Comes across more as a caveman.

The character in the book was a lot like that..I kind of thought he played true to the book.

well he really is that character. He is supposed to be the one always thinking of what comes next and what they need to do to survive. He played Jeff really well, much like Id picture from reading the book. Although he was alot nicer to Amy in the movie than in the book

I like Jonathan Tucker, but even he couldn't save The Ruins. What a moronic film. I was so disappointed in it.

he was extremely dislikeable in that POS movie
but he did seem to be a natural for pulling off the ***hole, know-it-all fratboy imbecile who somehow got into med school

I agree. They all came off like twats in that movie. I was cheering on the plants by the end. Also, he sounds like Droopy on crack.

Jeff in the movie and book was the smartest one, IMO

Yeah, the same with The Black Donnellys. He was supposed to be the smartest of the brothers, but looked really dumb, specially with that kind of tic he had with his eyes. The guy cant act; awful.
