Yeah, he is looks like he is half whiteI remember him discussing it in an interview. He commented that people in his high school always thought he was white when he was in fact Latino (and I guess it was a big deal since he went to a minority-dominated school). And that was what inspired him to suggest to Tom Fontana to add Luis Guzman's "You're too fu cking white" line in Oz.

Puerto Ricans are usually white and usually of European descent, so Kirk is half white and half Chinese. It's really weird that people actually think that Puerto Ricans aren't white, most of them obviously are, with some exceptions though since Puerto Rico is a melting pot in the same way as for example America is.

Puerto Ricans aren't the same as Mexicans or other similar South American people.

Dear Quentin, sorry to disappoint you, but I think you need a history lesson. Puerto Ricans are not only of European descent, nor considered white. Only the ones in denile consider themselves white. They are a mixture of Spanish, African, and Native American. Like with all mixed race people, some genes are more dominant then others. My father for example is from Puerto Rico, and I take after my mother's side of the family which is African American, but my other siblings look like my father's side very light. I'm currently working with Kirk on a new show called Fringe. I could ask him whatever you'd like!

Can you ask this lovely man does he do house calls and can he materialize in my bed so that I can get some relief from him? I love him and he is so comforting when I look @ him. Thank you, rafxx. You saved me the trouble. I couldn't care less how Kirk's genealogy breaks down, I'm just a big fan. My late husband was a tri-racial rock star and one of the most beautiful men ever to grace this planet. If you do talk to Kirk, please pass along my admiration for his work, which I've been applauding for what m111cust be 20 years now or more.
