I would add Eli Roth, Wes Craven and Rob Zombie to the list.

At the Fangoria convention in Chicago last year, Alexandre Aja was promoting The Hills Have Eyes, a person in the crowd asked "Would you like to direct a Masters of Horror episode?" and Alex said he would like to direct an episode, the man in the crowd was Mick Garris, and said "You're hired!" the crowd's applause was great. After the panel I saw Mick and Alex talking to each other, so I'm hoping for Season 3 to have him as a director!

Shymalan is nowhere near being a M2000aster of Horror! After Lady in the Water no one wants to work with him. Its sad. He did make the greatest thriller: The Sixth Sense, but he lost his touch. That is why he can't be called a Master of Horror.

Ridley Scott??????????? master of horror,ha hathe thing that he did the first alien and nothing else doesnt makes him "master of horror",and shiamalan compared to him really looks like the master of horror.

                      2.ALEXANDRE AJA

Are you F%&king retarded?? You are dissing Ridley Scott, then go on to list:
Alex Aja, and Eli Roth? YOU ARE A DUMB MOTHERF&(KER. All Aja has done is High Tension and that was totally predictable. Oh and he does remakes.
Eli Roth is a fag*t, the Hostel movies suck! You think that makes him a Master of Horror??? Go drown yourself dumbass.

Very old thread answer, but the "unofficial" Season 3 switched to another network (NBC) and was renamed
                          Fear Itself
                          :
                          http://www.imdb.com/board/11112285/?ref_=nv_sr_1
Mick Garris produced and many returning directors came back for another go with some new blood thrown into the mix, but the toned down network TV version and a Friday night time slot didn't quite cut it and, sadly, it only had a one & done season.
Here's the Fear Itself Director list. A GOOD list for the most part:
                          Breck Eisner ("The Crazies")
                          Brad Anderson ("Session 9")
                          Ronny Yu ("Freddy vs. Jason")
John Landis ("American Werewolf in London")
                          Stuart Gordon ("Reanimator")
                          Darren Lynn Bousmann ("Saw II-IV")
                          Mary Harron ("American Psycho")
                          Larry Fessenden ("Habit")
Ernest Dickerson ("Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight")
                          John Dahl ("Joyride")
                          Rob Schmidt ("Wrong Turn")
                          Rupert Wainwright ("Stigmata")
                          Eduardo Rodriguez ("Curandero")

Im gonna punch you in the cooter, I swear to God!
