Aja is not talented or "bringing horror back".
Piranha 3-D: Remake
Mirrors (2008): Remake
The Hills Have Eyes (2006): Remake
Haute tension (2003): Rip-off of Koontz's Intensity (except for the ridiculous last half).
So, if those movies/books didn't already exist, Aja wouldn't have anything resembling a career

yeah because remaking a weak horror movie(No offense to Wes) into a powerful, disturbing, amazing movie isn't showing talent.

Yup. Aja is not talented in any way, and no one will ever prove the opposite.
