To All
I have been hearing that Alexandre Aja is directing the remake of the 1984 Christmas horror film Silent Night, Deadly Night. Is this true? If this film is being remade, when will it be released? I hope that I can find some answers here. If this film is going to remade and released, I would love to see it. I have the original uncut version on DVD.

Well,he was set to write it and direct it for a
2008 release
that didn't happen, hopefully it just taking longer to do and will be out this year!

Still waiting for it myself.I hope he does a good job on it.I really wanted to see Tarantino make this simply because I know how much he loved how sick the original was.He always mentions the first killing scene alot when he talks about showing disturbing things in films,that get inside some people's heads and stay there.

Oh, Jeez! Im sure Aja would do a good job and everything, but does every one of his movies have to be a remake?! The guy is a writer and director so he could make an original horror movie of his own if he wants. I hope he takes more risks in the future.
I love the first two Silent Night Deadly Night movies.
