Yes, 95 was surprising. Also the fact he was the husband of the tragic photographer Diane Arbus who committed suicide. I never connected the name with him as I had not known they had been married.

He lived to be a good age and my word, in that final episode of MASH, I would not have believed he was 65 at the time!

My thoughts are with his family, I do hope Comedy Central pay tribute to Mr Arbus, he was and still is my favourite on MASH.

Only just found out he'd died! Favourite guest star/recurring character on MASH by a country mile. Loved this actor and Sidney Freedman was a brilliant character. The only other thing I can remember seeing him in is that one episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which I liked very much too. RIP.
