Too hard as both Midnight Vultures and Odelay are my personal faves although I love his other ones too.
    Sorry I can't decide.

      Odelay or Mellow Gold
Mellow Gold was sort of amateur but I like the raw sound of it.
I guess I'd have to go with Odelay because it's more layered and original.

I doubt that Beck can create anything as great as Mutations again.
It's only a state of mind.

Mutations is probably in my top 10.
i have no idea why it's so looked over.
even in articles i've read for Modern Guilt they seem to allude to every other album than Mutations.

It's definitely number 2 now!! it's catchy yet beautiful at the same time.

Mutations and Midnite Vultures, probably. I love them all, but I never skip a song on either of those two cds. They're such opposites too, lol.

Odelay deserves to be top tier for "Where It's At" alone, but I'm a big fan of The Information and Guero too.

Mellow Gold was always my favourite, but Seachange came out 6 months after my marriage broke down and spoke to me on a whole new level.

                          1. Seachange
                          2. Mellow Gold
                          3. Information
                          4. Odelay
                          5. Mutations
                          6. Modern Guilt
                          7. Guero
                          8. Midnight Vultures

I gotta go with Odelay, Midnight Vultures, and Guero. Not necessarily in that order, but those would definitely be my top 3.
It's funny because the Beck album that made me a fan was Mellow Gold, but as much as I like it, I feel the above three are far superior.
So many stories, so little time.

Odelay, Mellow Gold, and Midnight Vultures are great. I could never get into Guero. It's his worst album in my opinion.

I've heard that about Guero. A lot of fans don't seem to care for it. And that's fair enough.
But for me, I totally dig it. Que Onda Guero, Girl, Earthquake Weather, and Farewell Ride are some of my favorite Beck songs.
So many stories, so little time.

Rock in general, tending toward hard rock and metal. But I stop at Death Metal because the vocals are unlistenable, though I do enjoy the instruments. I just haven't heard anything from Beck that made me want to delve more deeply into his material. And I did see him in concert back in high school at some all day festival and I wasn't impressed.
