But why? So any popular show where people die should have a trivia entry that denotes who was the first to die? What a about a popular comedy show? Should they have a trivia entry for the first person to make a joke on the show? I don't see why that would be trivia. I don't mean to stir up anything, I just don't get it. Do you see what I'm saying?

I think the person who wrote that just went overboard. It's notable that he's the first person to die on the show, but it's not exactly an important piece of history.
Even that information is incorrect. He's first to be seen in the second episode. In the first ep the main character dies 9 times. So indeed the trivia is weird. 16d0 -

I'm sure I'm correct. I've got the dvds of TftC right here.
The very first ep of TftC is "The Man Who Was Death"
An executioner loves his job so much, that when he suddenly get's uemployed, decide to take the law into his own hands and ends up killing people who should be in jail, but walk freely.
Think that says enough.
The second one is "And all trough the house". Perhaps the person who wrote the trivia meant to say the way he got killed was unique? I haven't got a clue. Certainly not his first death in a movie, that's in Elm 2. -

According to the IMDb, all the first three episodes were shown the 10th of June, 1989 - I don't know how that would be possible on one single day, but maybe they kicked off the show by running all three episodes at once, like some sort of marathon? Perhaps the second episode was shown first on tv?
Anyway, I remember the episodes (saw them a year ago or something), so you're probably right.
