I asked my dad several times if we could go on a boating holiday, but he said that it wouldn't be a holiday for mum (who would have to do the cooking). He should have said Yes, and I'll do the cooking so as to give mum a holiday. But his rhetoric was not right. So I never got to go on a boat.
