I'm currently watching "Coupling" and I've noticed that when she's doing a close conversation with another cast member, even if they're taller or shorter than her, she seems to be staring at their noses and talking to them. None of the other members do it.
Is she reading lips or is there a reason or just a quirk?

I've often wondered about that. Coupling is the ONLY time she does it, though. Maybe that's just how she was directed? Who knows? LOL

I think it's a quirk. She does it in Leverage as well as Coupling. Sometimes it looks like she's looking at their lips, like she wants to kiss them, or perhaps like she's pondering their existence.

yeah she does it in Jekyll, she never looks them directly in the eye.

Yeah, I've taught myself to look off to the side. Some kid threatened to punch me for staring when I was little. Works for her in leverage because of the psychology behind being dominant or submissive for the mark.
