It's wrong, but I partly blame her for the Vulcan character.
She was supposed to be fully Vulcan and was always acting sexual. Vulcans are not sexual at all. Once every seven years they mate, and that's it.
Meanwhile, her character is trying to take showers with dudes and whatnot. It wouldn't even cross the mind of a Vulcan to "flirt" or anything close.
So, she was being used as a sex object on the show and she should have said something.

When the show came on I stopped watching about the "sexy shower scene" with her.
I then watched it all on Netflix years later. They toned it down with her a bit, but it was so smarmy.

Yes, needing sexual stuff on a show like Star Trek is cheap.
People always liked Star Trek because it's inspiring, not sexual. Adding that sucks to a quality show because it attacks idiots and takes away from the quality message.
If you take a character that is not supposed to have no emotions and is just a logical and removed being, and many love that kind of character, then you cast a "sexy" woman, and have her act sexual in that role, it's grotesque on many levels.
Spock had some of the best dialogue in the original show. He had witty observations about humans. He was also removed from things humans value and take for granted.
So, Spock was a witty observer and commenter about humanity on the show. That means the writer wanted to make those comments and make the viewer think about life and how they act.
Spock would pause before all actions and think things through very rapidly. If Spock can do it, you can do it. He's a role model.
So, in this show the female Vulcan was seen acting in a flirtatious and sexual manner. That was to make the viewer want to "**** her" and not anything else. She never had lines that a Vulcan would have. So, the writer ruined the purpose of Vulcans in the story.
Also, having the character be female would have been an opportunity to allow a female to have a solid iconic role like Spock. Instead, it was an opportunity to show off her "tits" and so on.
All of that is "smarmy" because Star Trek is supposed to be intelligent and promote equality, but ends up trying to be sexually provocative with a bastardized high quality character that is used to titillate.
                    All absolutely HORRIBLE>
