Has anyone noticed that this woman has talent, not just good looks?

She was in Playboy? Cool.
As for Jolene's acting, of course, she's excellent, I love Enterprise and she brings such a strong character to the show, played excellent without fault..well, she wanted to bang Trip, i'm not too fond of that but
Grrr, you underestimate my

I think the jury is still out on her actingone of the biggest complaints about Enterprise was something I had a problem with as well: The way T'Pol behaved as a Vulcan was good some times, ridiculous others. The one sidenote to that, is whether or not that was what she was TOLD to do.I remember her complaining about inconsistent Vulcan characteristics on the show in an interview, so it may well not have been her fault.
Off the top of my head, I can think of several instances when she was full-on emotionalsomething not even the "HALF-Vulcan" Spock would do. Also, I remember her being man-handled by an average human male, when a Vulcan female should be at LEAST as strong, if not moreso. Then that whole thing with Tripp was handled pathetically at times.again, not consistent with a Vulcan, and maybe another thing she was complaining about considering her being a fan of Spock/TOS.
In other roles, its been mixed. I only saw PART of Slow Burn so I dont know for sure yet on that one, but from what Ive seen so far she seemed pretty good. I thought she was awful on StarGate in her guest roles though. I guess Ill have to watch the rest of Slow Burn, and that we'll see as time goes on whether she has true acting chops or not! -

I wanna be true: in the beginning I didn'find good her acting (I watched the italian dubbed version) but when I got the dvd box and watched the original version I noticed many differences in the acting: but aboveall her strong dramatic performances in The Seventh, Bounty, Impulse and I realised that Jolene is a beautiful woman and a very talented actress.
An actress does what the director wants and not what SHE wants:I mean good movies and111c good roles=good acting; bad movies and bad roles the actress, even if is very talented, does what she can. -

I've only seen Jolene in Enterprise, but she's my favorite character in it, along with the doctor. She was credible (even if sometimes the script wasn't) and made a very, very good role.
Can she act? Sure can! No doubt about it. A role of a Vulcan is not among the easiest one, while one is supposed to be so serene and stoic all the time. Spock was the 1st one and no-one can take his place, but I do think that Jolene's T'Pol was a far more interesting person: she seemed to have a myriad of feelings and emotions, only she just controlled them rather good (most of the time). She was honest, loyal and kind hearted, and also very much vulnerable, melancholic, lost, and so alone. Fire burning inside, but trying to maintain cool outside. How could you not symphatize for her??
Thumbs up! If I could go back in time and give anyone else play her role, I wouldn't. She's a rare talent! And since Vulcans have a long life span I hope to see her appear in future Star Trek productions.

I have to admit, I havent seen much more of her work besides TPol. So in case she has talent, it totally died in course of portraying one of the worst written caracters in Star Trek history. And lets face it, thats saying a lot.
Two wrongs dont make a right, but three lefts do. -

I haven't seen enough of her to really say she's a legit talent. But I can't imagine anybody doing a better T'pol characterization than Jolene (love her full name by the way, I'm assuming5b4 it's Scottish like mine).

no i really cant say i had noticed that, shes basically a soft porn actress and everything shes been in that i have seen tends to use her as the hot girl who doesn't mind showing a bit of flesh.
bottom line is genuinely good actresses don't pose in playboy and don't need to get collagen injected into the lips or gel packs stuffed into there tits. -

yes this is really how Jodie foster got to where she is today

if you really cant tell that shes had surgery on her lips and tits then you need to go to college and see some real women naked.
she was hired for enterprise to convince a bunch of teenagers that there was a reason to watch that god awful show and she failed in even that simple task.
what i find funny is how you all kid yourselves that shes talented instead of just admitting that the truth is you want to stick your cock in her, get real.
and if you really want to see acting go and watch a film or go to the theater because TV as a rule is a refuge for talentless hacks.
what made TNG good? Patrick Stewart, why was he good? because he was a classically trained stage actor.
she on the other hand is a model turned actress which according to Darwin's theory of evolution is the lowest form of life possible before getting down to actual cell form.
