i think its hilarious that people think that because of doing SST her career would be screwed.
She was never big to begin with, and she had barely been in anything before star trek. During and after ST:E, shes had a bunch of multi-episode parts in some decent shows (stargate SG-1, legend of the seeker, etc) and a bunch of guest spots on a bunch of other well-known shows.
If you look at anyone else's imdb resume after ST:E, you'll notice that few of the actor (even scott bakula!) barely have gotten any parts in anything since.
She just hasnt been trying for many parts it seems, and its also kinda hard for a woman to star in the type of show that she usually plays in. Women usually get stuck with the single-girl-in-a-big-city bs storyline, with some sort of twist. Its pretty rare that they get to star in a fantasy/sci-fi story that she does so well in. She just has one of those ass-kicking faces.

as she said on the sst3 dvd, she WAS the movie.. (i think she said so) i like her, she really made the best part of it. and SST3 was FANtastic in my opinion. its cheap but its really fun. a classy B-Movie that couldnt be a a better follow up to the first film. I just hope they make a big budget, more serious production again with her for ST4. and damn, shes beautiful. i want to see her and denise (less sunburned) kissing on part 4! haha
she really deserves someone better then dix hauser. `` (me! :))

It could reboundI just heard she is all set to start filming on Legend of the Seeker and could be a reappearing character in season 2. Not bad! This show has some beautiful women, including Bridget Regan.
I haven't seen ST3, but am now intrigued.

Yep, it was just announced today that she'll have a reoccurring role as a villain on upcoming second season of Legend of The Seeker. Clearly, her best gig since Enterprise.
I honestly, I had completely forgotten about her since Enterprise.

For something so obviously low budget, I thought SST3 was pretty good . . . again, for something so obviously low budget.
That said, we have NO IDEA what kind of roles JB has been offered since Star Trek. Actors are really at the mercy of how their past work has been perceived. They are more at the mercy of randomness & chance than we think they are.

                      My response:
Dead on good assessment , hockeyhrs. The Hollywood industry is not known for fairness. Considering Jolene Blalock is not related (at least the public record confirms this) to anyone of influential heritage (Read= NEPOTISM) she has done remarkably well in Hollywood.
