I can find another reason to like JOLENE BLALOCK.
What woman can find the humility and the love in her heart to bend down on one knee and propose marriage to the man she loves? I found that very sentimental and romantic. If a woman is willing to do that, she must be a keeper.

Let's face it, society has conditioned beautiful women to be spoiled and catered to; Jolene could've been the cliche' and string the guy along until he's begging her to marry him for fear of losing her, she took it upon herself to defy convention. Gotta admire her for that.

just a tiny correction Jolene didn't get down on one knee, she got down on BOTH knees, seriously. Her family and her b/f's family at the time were all in on it and all went on vacation Jamaica; where she got down on both knees and asked him to marry her, the next day.

Yeah I figured the dude was probably rich, actresses almost always marry other actors or people that have retarded amounts of money or power. Love is a myth, in reality its all about survival and comfort.

Well, regardless if you think it's tacky or romantic, it's obvious that she and the families staged it so he had no choice but to say yes. Who wants to look ungrateful in front of all those people?
But either way, good for her. She got what she wanted and wasn't afraid to ask for it.

I didn't see it as anything special. It should be something done by both sexes. But I would personally be very overwhelmed if a woman proposed to me.
(I would also use in divorce proceedings). Joking.
