This is one of the best sci-fi movies. Here are ten great things about it. You've got: 1. great crazy world of the future (with some dangerous philosophy that reflects our world) 2. great characters (Johnny Rico - the greatest trooper ever, Lola Beck - the tough girl, not just another eye-candy) 3. great actors (Tarzan & Vulcan hehehe) 4. great futuristic designs (new Bugs, Marauders, uniforms and new guns and turrets and Roku San base and the God-Bug) 5. great crazy song (It's a Good Day to Die, with lyrics like "When duty calls I will give my life" LOL) 6. two great interesting plot lines (one on the planet, other in the deep space) 7. great script filled with irony (which makes this film much more deeper than your typical sci-fi flick) 8. great actions scenes (Roku-san, the final showdown, Marauders i action) 9. great location (the dunes of South Africa, the interiors of space ships) 10. great twist at the end of the film. bouns 11. great quotes

I thought it sucb68ked almost as bad as the second one. I would rather watch Mansquito 10 times than watch Starship Troopers 3 again.

I totally agree, much different of other scifi movies.
The problem is: the audience today want bombs, megaexplosion , megamonsters and so on only special effects and dont see the meaning of the movie like, in this case, ST3.

Not a great film but definitely not as bad as the second film either. Sadly most of the problems can be traced to it's like budget nature.. Definitely a much better film than the second and a decent enough follow up to the original although the black humor and said isn't quite there.
