He is the worst actor ever….

Yeah I don't like him in Buffy. He was too Tall and some of the motions he made were awkward and strained. He seemed cold while acting like in "Out of my mind" and Sarah/Buffy is crying and telling him how much he means to her in that cavern and you could feel the emotion behind Sarah's acting and he was all Fridget and cold (Yes I know that he was suppose to feel a little detached and reserved). And another thing is his arms are so long, it bothered me when he moved. Honestly though I have nothing against him!

He isn't too bad. I just think that he wasn't a very good choice to play Buffy's boyfriend. There was no spark there. But I really don't think there was suppose to be. I just felt that Buffy was dating Riley because she was still hurting from Angel. I think she used him. I believe that she loved him but she wasn't in love with him. People might tell me I'm wrong but that is the way I feel.
But it was the character Riley that I hated and not the actor who played him.
It's a big rock. Can't wait to tell my friends. They don't have a rock this big.-

I have to say, though:
I worked with him on The Killing Floor and he is the absolute NICEST guy you would ever meet in Hollywood. There is absolutely no condescension from him whatsoever. A lot of actors I have worked with have this passive aggresive sense of entitlement, and he lacks that completely. Give it up for the nice guy. -

Not quite the worst actor ever.. But if it weren't for him/riley, Buffy might have gone down as one of the greatest shows to ever made. After all.. Blucas went on to star in hollywood gems like 'Summer Pitch' and 'First Daughter.' After 2000thos two wonderful installments how could anyone say he's the worst ever?

And for those of you who say that Dawn ruined the show. you are wrong seeing that season 5 was the best season of the show yielding most of the series' best episodes. A charcter that "ruined" the show cannot premier in its best season simple as that. -

dswinger; No, not as simple as that. S5 had the best storyline and most people have made up their mind that it is the best because Buffy died in that season, but all that still don't equal good. S2 was clearly the best, the only reason that isn't so clear is because s2 had a lot of crappy episodes, overshadowing the brilliance of s2. So you see, a character that ruined the show CAN be on a season that is at the same time hailed as the best season yet

Why does everyone hate Riley? I thought Buffy's relationship with Spike was way more messed up. Riley is really the only nice guy Buffy ever dated. And, while season 5 was excellent, they should have turned Dawn back into the key. Her constant screaching and whining was annoying.

Actually she became worse for every season. It is perhaps not evident in s7, but that is only because she and the rest of the gang was overshadowed by another equal annoying group; the potentials. Dawn should've turned back in to the key by the end of s5.

Ya, perhaps. But it's just an opinion, I don't think she's as annoying in season 6 and 7 and don't mind her staying on the show, but you would disagree, it doesn't matter really.

Marc Blucas is a fantastic actor and did the character of Riley Finn justice. He played both the sincere bits and the action bits really well.. and even if his character began to peter out near the end, it doesnt mean his acting got any worse.

I thought he did a decent job as Riley because you were supposed to hate him. He's a fairly good actor. The worst actor ever is actually Paul Walker of The Fast and The Furious Fame. That guy makes Ben Affleck's acting look good.

He's a Jerry O'Connell replacement/wannabe, deal with it, he really sucked in buffy, and as for why everyone likes the spike/buffy relationship, is because of Spikes whole struggle, Plus the accent Marsters provides, beats anything riley adds to the show
