Figured I give the Hayden Christensen one a try - and I found two ways to get there from "Life as a House" - through Jena Malone or Kevin Kline - both led to Alexandra Holden, which led to Eliza Dushku.
But the shortest one I found was:
Hayden Christensen in "The Virgin Suicides" with Kirsten Dunst
Kirsten Dunst was in "Bring it On" with yes, Eliza Dushku
Eliza did an episode of Buffy while Marc was on it (well, she did two episodes, but only one in which they have scenes together).
