There was a young lady named Claudia Wells who played Marty McFly's girlfriend in Back to the Future (Pt 1) who was equally mesmerizing. As I understand it she lost the part in Part 2 because of illness. She and her career fell off the map although not quite as abruptly as Delle Bolton's. According to her bio she played in 2 TV shows and just one movie since.
