    Just wondering does anybody know waht he did in between his limited acting career and Long Way Round was there any filler at all?

      Probably not. i imagine that the planning for the Dakar Rally took a long time. Perhaps now he is planning somehting else.
      he also tours around with BMW giving talks and making appearances.

        I believe he works in construction/painter - decorator, it was mentioned in the Race To Dakar book.

              No, Slayerk, above, has it right. Charley mentioned his "real" job in the book; I just read it.

                    I'm not sure but hasn't anybody except monkey read the question right? In between his acting career and Long Way round I'm not sure there was anything. Long Way round was in 2004, as was his last acting job so he was just planning for it I guess.
