Wonder if his brother suffers from alcoholism as well
I wondered that, too. His mom ridicules him and calls him "Needy Nicky" but when you hear her talk, she comes across as overly-controlling, emotionally-manipulative, and distant, and she should be looking in the mirror for how he learned his pattern of relationships. -

When I read the news I kind of sighed and thought "again?" Third time in 5 months.
I do hope that he gets help and can turn this downward spiral around.
Kitty: Is there anything you can't do?
Dr. Doom: Knit. I find it too repetitious. -

Many people go to rehab as a condition of leniency from the court. This typically fails because the person doesn't "own" their dependence on drugs or alcohol.
I succeeded using AVRT only because I owned it. I haven't even gargles and spit for 10 years now. And while I acknowledge that some people cannot function without the flock mentality (AA, Narcanon), it can only be done if you reach I side and own it.
Peace -

He will never be unbridled from his troubles until he " owns it." Alcoholism is not a disease, as the money making anti-addiction profession would lead you to be. No, it's a lifestyle choice.
I consumed alchohol for 30+ years because I thought, that's what people do for acceptance in society, and it was fun. It was not until being pulled over for a burned out license plate light on way home from a bar that I said to myself," self, you have a choice to make. Drink or drive, but you can't do both.
I have been sober (I had that word for its negative connotation) now for over 10 years with absolutely no desire to consume alchohol again. From the beginning I used AVRT, Addiction Voice Recognition Therapy which teaches you to recognize the triggers not only externally, but internally, that leads the irrational self to irresponsible behavior.
But to quit alcohol or drug abuse, it will only work if one truly wants to quit. One must own their destructive behavior. That is the only thing that will save Brandon. -

You are a good person. I salute you, and I appreciate your sharing your story.
I doubt Brandon will ever make any of the steps, because he will always find a way to leach off his Buffy fans, and avoid rock bottom, until he has liver cancer or some other serious drug/alky illness.
