Why are serial killers discussed on IMDB???

I was looking for a movie but didn't remember its name. All I knew is that it was about Jeffrey Dahmer. So I typed 'Jeffrey Dahmer' and I find a board on the killer! Even Hitler and bin Laden have IMDB pages!
(Jesus Christ doesn't have one, though, even though there have been hundreds, if not thousands of movies about him, but then - hey, he wasn't a serial killer; the crusades in his name were bloodbaths and massacres!)
WTF is up with this???
In the future, when I'm doing research on a serial killer, I will know exactly where to go.. -

Okay, although it's obvious to most I'll explain it anyway.
It's because these people have appeared in documentrys. Let's say there's a Ted Bundy documentry, they'd have a video of him from an archive on there, therefore they have to credit him, and then because he's credited on a movie he appears on IMDB. -
