    Sirius,
Must tell you (and everybody who has Prime Video) but esp. you because you have a farm - a good movie "Black Field" I watched about 2 sisters in 19th Century on a farm in Canada who meet a stranger, story inspired by Gothic Bronte novels (Jane Eyre is my fav novel). Also movies I downloaded to my iphone but yet to watch "Take" with Jeremy Renner and Minnie Driver and "Sea of Trees" with Matt McCon and Naomi Watts. They're free, but they just sit, waiting for me And "POLDARK" from BBC is a must Aidan Turner on my list now Season 1 Poldark is the best and on Prime!
Horses are family! you're a good horse-person. What I hate about horse racing is when you hear wealthy stable owners dispose of some horses so as not to care for them. And wild horses here carted to slaughter in Mexico and Canada?! - makes me really unhappy. Seeing these horses is so uplifting but then that's the reality.
"give them good lives for as long as they live" - just like a parent-child/ child-parent relationship. 20 years is such a bond since he was a foal! And another horse for 22! Except for the odd cat (or birds who live long) that's an extensive bond. Had my puppy for 15+ and still miss him. Good you have the teenager who's 9. Never without horse. The care and vets and attention I can only imagine. You should take lots photos.
Love the miniature horse and donkey too - so adorable - don't think my LA home zoned for them.
Seen "Becoming Jane" with Anne Hathaway - will have to see again and note James McAvoy more - I bet he wasn't in it enough. "Split" is first movie I've seen, other than "Atonement" where McAvoy plays 1st string, not just an X-men I love it!
It's actually easier for me to see many of my movies out - since mom(85) loves her TV mainly for news, day soaps, Tennis (Nadal is her favorite and he just lost in Australian Open), and network TV series at night like "Bluebloods" "Hawaii 5-0" etc. Mom gets 1st dibs and she's not as keen as used to be on movies now she doesn't go out to movies. The TV downstairs is old and does not have a DVD player hooked up. So if I get myself out, that's the way I'm sure to see a movie I really want. I've watched quite a few I missed on my Fire 6" HD tablet or my iphone 6+ while doing something else - Neon Demon for Keanu, The Witch because it had buzz. Anya Taylor Joy from Witch is in Split young woman with most amazing eyes who could hold court against James McA!
CURRENT ACTOR LIST, retooled over a few days, 20+ yrs of movies, it got pretty long:

    1. Gerry Butler - had seen Dear Frankie in theater, 300 made me connect dots, go back
    2. Tom Hardy - first in Warrior, and went back, still have to see "Peaky Blinders"
    3. Jake Gyllenhaal - I ignore his reviews- "Southpaw" "Demolition". "Nocturnal Animals" he was so brave to let viewers hate him because he was the "emasculated male" hero which is rare and chilling. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Michael Shannon were A+ too
    4. Michael Fassbender - "Shame" shows he's fearless, missed "Assassins Creed" - someone told me "it's trash" - Hard to believe, after Light Bet. Oceans.
    5. Keanu Reeves - we go way back, will go out for Wick II since I have5b4n't seen him on big screen in a bit (Wick I on DVD). To the Bone sounds great.
    6. Luke Evans - unknown to me, saw him in a weird serial killer movie on TV - he was so hot! Hotter than anyone on this list! Heroic in Hobbit movies, Dracula Untold, anyone see Girl on a Train? Is Luke in it? he's gay and he works lots, hope for more
    7. Colin Ferrel - love Colin, did not love Lobster just too weird
    8. Christian Bale - could not believe Knight of Cups sounded so bad I stayed away - maybe he doesn't always pick perfectly but his acting is wow
    9. Aidan Turner - POLDARK puts him at top of my list when it's playing
    10. Jeremy Renner - Hurt Locker discovery; Messenger did miss (like MGPreacher for me) despite committed performance; "Wind River" at Sundance sounds great; I loved Arrival
    11. Benecio del Toro - saw in Traffic, then went back to "Usual Suspects" "Basquiat" "Excess Baggage" etc.; Sicario - there's a sequel about his hitman
    12. Idris Elba - gorgeous; Bond would be cool; how do I get "Beasts of No Nation"?
    13. Leo DiCaprio - since Blood Diamond which changed me from anti-Leo to a committed fan; loved Revenant. Gatsby was underrated.
    14. Jeff Bridges - happy for his Oscar nom! loved Hell or High Water; will always go see him if it sounds good, which it always does with him.
    15. Toby Stevens(Rochester), Charlie Hunnam(Arthur coming soon), and the 1c84died much too young so talented and kind Anton Yelchin (last saw in indie Green Room; he's Scottie on Star Trek plus many indie roles to his credit) Lovely to his fans, I can't forget him.
FILMOGRAPHY ACTORS - I went back to the early work for - Russell Crowe, Benecio del Toro, Vin Diesel, Vince Vaughn, Gerry Butler, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hardy.
AVOID - Casey Affleck - his big Oscar moment but his sexual harassment allegations by women worki

      KeepersBurns,
in an earlier posting -a few days ago I posted my actors list and the reasons why I prefer some over others
      re:
Idris Elba - gorgeous; Bond would be cool; how do I get "Beasts of No Nation"?
I agree. Beasts is available on Netflix. Last year there was a bit of discussion why he wasn't Oscar nommed for his downright scary portrayal
when I have time I am going to watch Beasts followed by MGP- feel they are complimentary pieces (In one the creation of child soldiers, the other trying to save as many of these children as was possible)

I wish I could reply more thoroughly, but I'm wiped out. Monday. Ugh.
Anyway, I wanted to respond to some of this.
Matt Damon - loved by all. Vanilla to me mostly. Liked him best in Bourne 1 as hard man who falls for Franka Potente and Courage Under Fire.
I like him fine, but he's not all that great to me either. My favorite movie of his will always bee
        Good Will Hunting
. That's one of my favorite movies, period. Matt and Ben did a great job writing it, and deserved their Oscar. So many great lines in that movie.
George Clooney - needs a good movie like Syriana
Another actor I like, and another movie I REALLY like. I've been thinking about watching it again lately. That's a movie that challenges people to think about the state of the world. Especially now.
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers - so talented I had to watch Tudors.
I've been thinking about continuing watching this lately too (I've watched some of it, though I can't really remember how far I got, it was years ago). I'm mostly interested in Henry Cavill in it, but I do remember that JRM was impressive as Henry. I'm on a Cavill kick lately because of some boob68ks I'm reading. The description of the main male character has me envisioning Henry Cavill. I loathed
        Man of Steel
with every fiber of my being though. I don't care how cute he is, that movie was a waste of time and money for me. The only redeeming part of going to see it was that I went with a bunch of friends and we all got to hang out after and rip it to shreds over hot Krispy Kreme donuts.

I like Henry Cavil too - he is talented but underused because he's so good looking.
I loved him in that 70's redo spy movie I can't think of name - with Alicia Vikander and Armie Hammer playing a spy trio. Get it for Henry it you haven't seen it. It bombed, but I wish it had done well so there'd be a sequel with him!
Sirius, Annie posted the boards here are shutting down.
All we can do is exchange emails if anyone interested.?
I'll PM my email later. must get dinner. Glad I chec1c84ked in. Been slammed. Weired IMDb is now shutting it all down. What gives?

            Sirius,
I already replied about Henry in that spy movie which is good with Alicia Vikander, but I don't see my post?! hmm, maybe it's hiding?
I like Henry who is too good looking for his own good, and gets underused by Hollywood as a result.
Boards are shutting down. Let me know if you want to exchange emails, continue on about what movies are good and not so much.
I think we'd all just let it be real lax, and respond when we have time. Hectic lately.
I got slammed with family/work issues and came here to check in - really shocked IMDb is dumping us all!

OMG! IMDb Shutting it down?! Just thought I'd check quick - have been slammed with work/family issues and was going to post my responses later. My God! How long have boards been up, like forever? Wonder why
Uhg, and here I did my actor lists for current members and new members who come aboard!
Exchange email sounds good, I mean like something to take away from this anyway, and continue discussion when there's new things.
Do we do post our emails in the Private Message area? I guess should not post it here, though it would be faster.
Annie, is there a date they shut it down? The PM area will shut down too?
I'll check back soon, must go get dinner. Crazy world it is indeed.

Thanks for update Annie. Gerry posted gym pic to gear all up for it. 50 cent in it, I might say iffy (50 was in lots low budget lowbrow crime movies) but surprised to like 50 in Southpaw held his own across from Jake G. Buffing up means Gerry is doing a violent movie probably. Will be hard to compete with Keanu and Common in John Wick 2! Funny how it's the thing to cast rappers in crime dtamas - that gives it more street cred? Could be. Common did a fine job in JW. Music stars bring a different cache/audience with them - John Legend in LA LA LAND didn't hurt.
Happy New Year 2017 to everybody on this Board!!

if this is half as good/entertaining as John Wick, Butler might be onto something!
                              did see his gym pic
whomever handles his social media accounts is doing a poor job to say the least.
They are erratic and oftentimes have no meaning to what was previously posted.
I don't know if Butler finds social media obligatory/doesn't care/feels its beneath him or hasn't figured out what to share
Maybe I'm just spo5b4iled because I follow Ice-T- he does it himself and he tweets almost daily. Jackman/Downey only do when they're promoting films. Russell Crowe when he tweets shares stuff from Australia to music to workouts to films. Renner gives us peaks into his life.

I don't FB, so perhaps his FB page is better handled/and I'm not on my twitter account everyday so maybe he or his peeps are posting more frequently.

He's posting more often on TW and IG now. A few selfies - and then personal ones of him younger, his Mom young and him as kid with bro and sis. He'd gone home so maybe that's why he had time and made it personal. Think Gerry wants us to know it's really him posting. Not a social media manager. He's reaching out to fans. Maybe it's to counter negative press right now about his off/on gf, but it's a good idea and I hope he keeps it up. It gives fans and gawkers something personal from him, which can mitigate damage from the gossip celeb sites. And all the comments to Gerry's posts are positive; versus the comments about Gerry on JJ or Daily Mail are mostly neg
and even cruel. Maybe he's seeing the positive effects of social media for an actor, who's control of his own image is well Challenged at best.
I don't follow the other guys, only Bree Turner who is so cool posting about assault. She did movie Room, but still, I was shocked, like this is really Bree having time to post on TW and reply despite her career skyrocketing now?! I was so impressed.
Annie, I'll look into following Jeremy and Russell.
You make it sound intriguing! Never thought of
Ice-T though I watch SVU all the time. He must be cool. I turned on notifications for Gerry since I knew he rarely posts. Now it's going Boop Boop often Recently. A nice surprise! And his last post in gym he's really promoting Den of Thieves. Gerry has right idea to mix it up. Got personal with us, now back to biz. Before I remember mainly his appearance FB posts thanking his fragrance hosts in Dubai or whatever just blah or self-serving only. Let's see what he posts next - if he can keep going.
                                    Hope

                                      keepersburns,
glad to see you posting again
can't agree more with your comment below:

yep they are and I've been 'bullied" by one poster on JJ (I've posted a couple of times)- you know I work at a studio and have tried to share what I can but I got torn a new butt because I was honest in my assessment as to how box office is calculated and he has no say as to release dates etc/and him.
I wish he would extricate himself from Kavanaugh and that sinking Relativity- they are holding Hunter Killer/HeadHunter in financial hell
he should if he can align himself with the Eastwoods/Nolans/Villeneuves/Sheridans of t2000he world.- he can act and has it in him to give a performance akin to Dear Frankie/The Jury. Keepers is being directed by the fellow who is directing Hardy in Taboo so
watched 300 last night and it always saddens me when he's dying and says My queen. My Wife. My Love.
and I am so on the late freight with him- the other day I had about 20 minutes to spare before my Spurs played and I downloaded on youtube Gerard Butler funny guy and he was funny/embarassed/open/charming/intelligent and somewhere along the way he became "closed off" for whatever reason- oh he's still charming and intelligent
but I have only listened to one of the interviews he gave for LHS where he said Amy knows me a little, letting his self come thru.
do follow Ice-T -its fun and he passes on advice "The Daily Game" as he calls it
                                      annie
"We shall see" Hardy as James E Delaney in Taboo

If Steven Knight has anything to do with Keepers it will be fantastic. Gerry should do a 1 man movie with S Knight like Tom did on Locke. Now that shows you have talent and don't drive yourself mad with box office worries. Would Gerry be able to get bank for that? Tiny budget on Locke and shot in 2 weeks when Tom had opening around big projects, but Gerry woukd have to fight for it because he's not known for that.
Ryan had money. Gerry was at his wedding / so was Leo and others. Gerry must be friend to the deep pockets. Is Relativity going down? That would suck if Gerry has even less movies out - 1 he never made and has lawsuit. Headhunter is in limbo. Just no buyers? Not even Netflix or Amazon? Is Hunter Killer in jeopardy too?? I thought it wrapped so all good?
Hate those bullies. Never posted on JJ. Always shocked when bullying comes at me. For just expressing my opinion or view. Cyber is a safe ground for bullies, even when the zeitgeist is so against it. Bullies should get bullied.
Gerry should work with M. Night Shyamalan! Not Sure spelling. Director on a comeback with Split - back to his successful thrillers like Sixth Sense after huge fails Last Airbender and After Earth. Might already be too late. Could be 'hot' again. Night had to dig himself out. He's working with Blumhouse and doing low budget thrillers. Did NOT recognize James McAvoy bald in trailer playing multiple personality character!! Read article in LA Times on Night and saw McAvoy is the guy. That's a role! Or 20 roles. I'll have to see it.
Gerry should do projects low budget that will get made and have distribution set. Dont know why Headhunter was made without a buyer/dist. first. Now that WAS RISKY. Another thing to sell at Toronto if it's a thriller with celeb lead or a 'niche drama' like boxing breakout Million Dollar Baby but a tearjerker drama which HH sounds like is
tough. Would have to have everything go just right like incredible reviews and buzz.
I don't know of Gerry having any movie out soon? so all the vitriol of his personal breakup being aimed at his non-existent movie premiere is crazy, right?
We'll be waiting for something with Gerry forever. Meantime Tom H is on screens big or small all the time and I can't get tired of him!!

                                          keepersburns,
Relativity is sinking. Last thing I read was they might have to liquidate their film library- they have been in bankruptcy, emerged out of it and it seems another bankruptcy filing could happen. Over the holidays many of their remaining employees were furloughed and vendors haven't been paid.
Hunter Killer was under Relativity but according to Variety 1/11/17
The studio did not come up with an $8 million guarantee payment and gave up its deal to distribute Moritzs film, the submarine thriller Hunter Killer, starring Gerard Butler.
Until there is a resolution to their issues I have hope we will see Hunter because Tooley left Relativity and formed Tooley Productions and is listed as one of the producers behind Hunter
HeadHunter is languishing -I don't know if GBa238se produced it I've only seen Zero Gravity Production as the producing entity- their last film The Accountant was distributed by WB
I don't know of Gerry having any movie out soon? so all the vitriol of his personal breakup being aimed at his non-existent movie premiere is crazy, right?
it most certainly is. Geostorm is being released in Oct after numerous pushbacks but it was due to WB changing regimes and accomodating Ben Affleck hehe!!!
Hardy has done so much in a rather short period of time. Like Cb68rowe he wasn't the best romantic lead but who cared? He brings it each time out, oscillating between cinema and the telly not caring what the medium is. Wish Butler would follow his lead.
Million Dollar Baby was more than a sports/boxing film- but that's Eastwood- he lets his films breathe
Den of Thieves is supposedly underway filming in Atlanta but according to JJ, he's out and about town- yeah I know one isn't filming 24/7 still as a producer you would think otherwise-
Sometimes I think I am rather harsh in evaluating Butler. I know so little about him. Maybe because other actors whose work I like to varying degrees have spoiled me to some extent
Locke is my favorite Hardy film
                                          annie
"No matter what the situation is, you can make it good." Locke
