Not married? And no partner?

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that it's odd he's not married. Not everyone is the marrying kind but I was just curious if he was at least in a serious relationship given his age, but like someone else said he is pretty hot still so maybe settling down is not yet his thing (or ever) or it's just hard for him to find someone genuine.

Remember Warren Beaty?
Warren Beatty was a real life womanizer who finally met his mate.
Gerard Butler is a gossip column womanizer who sends mixed messages about his sexuality and his relationships.
Not buying the comparison. -

It's the one thing I admire about him. At least he's not marrying young things willy-nilly and getting divorced every few years.
I'm 42, soon to be 43, and I'm not married, never have been, and will be fine if I never do marry. And I'm definitely not gay, though people have actually suspected and even asked if I am. Nope. I think men are very attractivethey're just a lot of trouble too, LOL.
I'm not at all opposed to the idea of marriage though. In fact, I would love someone to share my retirement years with. I retire in 15 years, so that gives me some time to find him!
Gerry's smart about this, IMO. Now his movies? That's another story! LOL
Merry Christmas to everyone here! Hope Santa is good to you! -

Could be he's just not through playing around yet, which is predictable because he IS kind of a hunk. lol Nevertheless, I'm 2 years away from being 30 and I've never been married, nor do I have any kids. I'd like to be someday, thoughbe even better if it were Gerry.

You have plenty of time. I married and had kids in my 30's. Although, I married a man of the same age. Are you thinking you have a lot of common interests with a much older man like GB? He doesn't seem eager or able to have kids, for example. -

Probably not. For example, I think he's a democrat and I'm a conservative Christian. But it's still a nice dream. ^_^
I don't know about being a "democrat". Is he even a US citizen?
You need to come live where I am. Nothing but conservative Christians as far as the eye can see. Which is why I'm happily single.
It's a good thing I haven't been able to actually marry the actors I've been infatuated with. I'd be on about my tenth marriage by now (to Alexander Skarsgard currently). I'm just not the settling down type. LOL. -

I think I heard somewhere that he did actually become a U.S. citizen not too long ago, but if you prefer, I think he's a "liberal." He was @ the Obama inaugb68uration, though that may not be anything; maybe he was just there for the heck of it. Who knows. The only way to find out what his beliefs and political views are is to discuss it with him one-on-one when he's NOT in front of a camera or surrounded by other people and fans. That's really the only way to get to know somebody; which, of course, probably will never happen for me. However, like I said before, it's still a nice dream to have. I'd mainly like to just hear him sing again because I love his voice.
As far as me being a conservative, Bible-believing Christian, I take pride in that. I'm not ashamed to speak the name of Jesus and try to share the gospel with other people, so I'm not sure if your comment about being "happily single" because of the conservative Christians in your area was meant in a derogatory manner or not, so forgive me if I make a false assumption.
Nevertheless, my original comment about "marrying" GB was meant to be taken as a joke. I know that I have absolutely NO chance w/ him. After all, I don't exactly think I'm his type.

I apologize if I offended you, that was not my intention. I guess my point was that I'm surrounded by people with different religious and political beliefs than mine, and like you, I can't see myself married to someone with whom I have such profound differences. I respect your convictions and understand where you're coming from, even if I am coming from the opposite side.
I know you were joking. So was I. That's the fun of having "girl talk" about these guys online. It's all fantasy and fun.

Ah, okay.
That's why I asked about what you meant, so no biggie. And there's lots of guys around here that have the same views as I do, but I guess I'm just not pretty enough for them. There IS one guy who owns a restaurant that I've kinda got my eye on, but I'm not sure if he likes me in the same manner as I like him. He's kinda like Gerry; in the aspect of being tall and lanky (like he was in "Phantom"), and he's funny, too. He's good at making me laugh. And the best part is that he's from Italy, but I'm not sure which part. Oh! And Gerry would LOVE him because he's a HUGE soccer fan; he played pro soccer in Canada, and they almost ALWAYS have a game on TV at the restaurant. It's actually funny watching them while they watch the game because they just get so into it. In any case, I like this guy a whole lotI just don't know if he feels the same way about me. lol ^_^;
