The best standup comedian of all-time

I think Louis CK has his moments of geniusness, and he's got the art of comedy down to a science in terms of timing and delivery and how to set up his routines, but he can be very hit or miss, and you can see in a lot of routines where he's been inspired by comedians of the past. That's what in my opinion prevents him from being the best "of all time." I think to be the best of all time requires more consistency. Not just moments of spot on geniusness, interspersed with stuff that's gross and out of line or missing the mark.
I also get a feeling of.I don't know, "dark" from him that I don't get with other comedians, even when they engage in off color humor. He takes things to a level that's just nasty and not funny, and is more or less just revealing on stage the troubled inner workings of his mind. (I've wondered if he doesn't have a little masochism in him, and kind of digs the idea of publicly shaming himself in front of millions.) There's just something inherantly not right about him, in my opinion. For instance, even when Bill Burr is ranting about stuff in his mock angry, bombastic Boston stage persona he never truly feels "dark" to me. But there's something off and dark about Louis. But that's just my opinion, and others feel differently.
