Is this the modern american man? Full of self-hate, his humor is mostly based around just assumptions that some minor beep thing you do makes you a horrible human being. And imo most of it comes from false image european & american media give to white people about white guilt and he is catholic even top of that. Yes, white people did do horrible things but most if not all of it was done by rich corrupted beep that are our current leaders also. Most people in USA were not rich enough to own slaves for example, it was like 10% of the population who owned all of the slaves.
And Louis CK plays straight into the pouch of these people that keep lying to us and tries to get poor people fight each other because of our race, so we forget that it's the people on the top that are pure evil.

In regards to body image: I think that it is, for the most part. Male self-hate has been a long time coming because we've been propagating female self-hate for much longer. For quite some time media has been showing women what men think is the ideal female physique. In the last 10 or so years, they have begun to the same to the males counterparts. I think that nowadays men have begun having the same body issues women have had for decades.
To address the racial component of your post and as a white male, I do understand it. I grew up poor. My ancestors emigrated from Ireland and England. No one in my family tree was ever wealthy and surely never wealthy enough to have slaves. Slavery in America is a dark mark on our history and I don't agree with it, but I personally have no guilt over it because it was neither perpetrated by me or by anyone in my family. However, that does not mean I absolve myself completely because it was perpetrated by my fellow Americans.
TL;DR: I don't personally feel guilt over American slavery, but I shouldn't have to. I can recognize that America should not have done what they did and wholly condemn it. The reason I don't feel guilty is because I DIDN"T DO IT, but I can sympathize with those who went through it.
