I find it really hard to believe this actress was born in 1942. I just watched a re-run of "Quantum Leap" from 1989, which would have made her only in her mid 40s at that time, and one look at her tells me she was definitely older than that at that time. It wasn't due to efforts making her appear older for the role or anything like that, eitherit was simply clear by looking at her she was NOT in her 40s at that time. She's an attracive woman and a very pleasant actress to watch, don't get me wrong, but I would say her b-date has to be off by about 10 years, give or take a couple.

She could not have been born in 1942 because she graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School (now Bishop Dunne) in Dallas in 1953. She went on to teach P.E., speech, and drama there for 8 years, beginning in 1955. She married Jimmy when she was 21.

I'm guessing that her birthday is based on old resumes she sent around. She probably lied about her age when she was younger so she could get better parts. Who knew that 30 years later she would still be in the business and this would catch up.

Yeah, I came here because I was wondering the same: In Lois & Clark, she looks about at least 61-65 while given the stated b.date of 1942 she could only have been 51 to 55.
I find it strange she comes through with it. I mean, if someone has a fake b.date in his identification card, isn't this illegal?

I can go one better than that. In that famous episode of
            All in the Family
, her character and Edith's deceased cousin Liz were supposed to have been together for 25 years. In 1977, that would have meant she was playing a woman 15-20 years her senioror that the character and Edith's cousin first got together when she was 10!

hmmm, responding just over 4 yrs laterK was born Jan 9 1936, so would have been 16 or 17 yrs old when got together, though I have no memories of All in the Family, was hatched in 74, and if saw re run, dont remember, could be the humor was not my thing, despite becoming a mom for the first time 3 days after 14th.
I do know enjoyed, still do enjoy, watching Lois and Clark, my son did as well though at 5 to 9 yrs old for shows run, think he liked the Superman parts best, daughter was 1 to 5 yrs old, think she to liked, as did see show when aired,(both have seen some since then on my dvds, do like, just dont re watch as much as I, watch more things now than ever since accident changed my life, DO NOT LIKE REALITY CRAP). Ok off topic.
I liked the whole show L and C,TNAOS but really enjoyed K s playing of Martha Kent, she made Martha really come alive. She is sorta my fav Martha, as after life changed about 7yrs ago, have looked up and watched all that could of Superman/Clark s well planet earth/adopted mom and yes dad too, and also liked the fact that on/in L and C had his dad alive for the whole show, to me, made the show have its own take to keep both his parents alive.
Live life to be aliveand may your day be well or find one thing that gives you that little extra, even just a
