I know! Betty is so nice and she just always falls for the wrong guys. They seem all sweet and innocent at first and she basically gets beep on in the end.
I have to disagree on that. I protest that Betty and her inability to resolve in a mature relationship is the reason of her downfall.
For example what exactly wrong did Gio do to deserve Betty dismissal? He didn't cheat on her neighbor or got another girl pregnant.
But yeah writers messed up Henry story line and Gio's and I have no idea what they were thinking with Jesse.

What people? She's got a family that loves her, good friends, not to mention Marc and Amanda. Yes, the last two tease her mercilessly, but they don't hate her. There is some affection there.
On the subject of Henry and Gio, they never transformed into total douchebags. They just let their less-than-perfect sides show once in a while.
And not everyone in New York has to like the girl, as nice as she tries to be.
Anyway, my argument seems a little excessive next to your one sentence, so I'll shut up now.

ABC really screwed it up big time with Gio.
They should've left him, not necessarily as her boyfriend, but her friend at least, I don't know He's such a lovable character!

I completely agree! I was just watching an old episode of Scrubs (with Freddy in it) and I came on his IMDB page to check if he's going to be in any future eps of Ugly Betty. (I'm from England, I think we're about a series behind) I miss Gio, they need to bring him back!
