Trump is only hurting himself by attacking Iran. A huge chunk of MAGA will turn against him if he starts another needless war in the Middle East, but the economy is tanking and war is always a good distraction from domestic issues, so anything is possible.

Invading Iran will harm his popularity. Blasting imams and ayatollahs to confetti from afar will not. Only goat ****ers care about muzzies these days. The rest see them as the backward medieval savages they still are.
Besides he has the economy well in hand. I am sure he has a grand master strategy and the teriff fracas is only a temporary state of affair required to reposition the chess pieces on the board.
