I just lost all respect for the guy. Heard some radio djs talking about his new book and they said he brags on himself incessantly and brags that his "member" is so big, when he was younger, his friends nicknamed him "Donk," as in DONKEY (figure out why). WHY would he want to reveal that?? His kids are going to read that book. His relatives. His current friends. Seems really inappropriate and not something a classy guy would talk about.

I reckon its in the book because every teenage guy worries about their "manhood" so to speak and that was probably why he had such a big ego. It sort of fits in with his whole life and life style. Don't you think?

. . .as a great fan since before "The Partridge Family", David has always been self-depracating, in direct opposite of his father (actor) Jack Cassidy, who (when he was here) practically sucked all the oxygen out of any room that he was in.
Plus, he was a part of 'the 60's generation' who always told it like it is, whether you cared to hear it or not.
For me, that's a great deal of his charm.

Wait. ThomasJ. Did I understand your post correctly? Are you saying that David Cassidy is known as someone who is self-deprecating? Was that a typo?
Just to clarifythis is a message board about the David Cassidy who starred on The Partridge Family. It's not a forum about some other guy named David Cassidy.
Also, self-deprecating means someone who doesn't brag about himself and sing his own praises all the time. And who doesn't have a cartoonishly overblown ego. Did you mean to say that David Cassidy has NEVER been self-deprecating, but you accidentally typed "has ALWAYS been self-deprecating"? -

If I had to write a book on the size of my thing, it would be a very short book!
Look at the book Mackenzie Phillips is coming up with. I suspect this is what famous people do to fuel the attention upon themselves.
Talk about stroking ones ego (pun intended)

My god. I can't stand prudes like you. The guy is trying to make a living, he's going to talk about whatever he damn well pleases to help generate interest in him, sell books, concert tickets and put food on the table. He's not a rich guy. You are a fool worrying about his relatives and kids reading about the size of his member. Who freaking cares. I doubt you work in a job where you have to do things right every week in order to generate an income to pay the bills. You are classless complaining about a guy who has delighted millions of people for years. Oddly enough, the name you selected as part of your nickname is "johnson" and here you are complaining about a Johnson.
