If this is true I still stand by the fact that he's an amazing performer, but I do agree this is terrible. I always felt he abandoned his daugher, it pisses me off whenever I see him talking about his son who is is pride and joy but never mentions his daughter. Where did you get this information I'm interested.

This isn't true. What goes on in their personal lives is actually only the buiness of the Cassidys yet I will tell this much
David was never married to Katie's mother. Katie's mother is married to someone else and until recently, Katie has used her step-father's last name. I believe the names of those involved who are not famous are out there but I won't name names here just in case. Katie has called both men "Dad". David refrained from giving out info on Katie to protect the privacy of her and her family on her mother's side. David has always paid child support and given to Katie who has visited him and his family members on several occasions while growing-up; pictures do confirm this.
After Katie was discovered, TPTB wanted her to use the Cassidy name for marketing reasons; esp. since she recorded "I Think I Love You". David wanted her to wait until she was 18 to begin her career and hone her skills in the meantime. Katie and her mother had other ideas and became angry with David because he wouldn't use his influence in the entertainment industry to help her until she was 18.
As for David's mother, he would NEVER allow her to suffer! -

I don't know what to believe because I hear a lot of things from different people who see him as a great father/son/entertainer/and all around perosn and I hear a lot o111cf things from people who see him as the opposite. I only know that I love his stuff and he has incredible talent.

I guess you've convinced me. Sometimes that's a difficult thing to do when there are so many pretenders on the internet. But I think your facts are pretty accurate, from what I've searched and heard David say on television. And recently hib68s letter on his website has really shown a sincere interest in rectifying this horrible rumored mess.

I think it is sad that David is being bashed. I read his autobiograpy and have seen him do many interviews. I do not think that he is a deadbeat Dad or son. In everything he has always been so honest. I think he genuinely loves his family his wife, his mother and his children.

how many of his lovers do you think like him becasue of his personality? how many of them have met and gotten to know him and base their love for him on anything about who he is as a person? i dont think too many of them have. i think his popularity is based more on his skills as an actor, singer, and yes on being an attractive teenager. like all celebrity loves it has not much to do with him as a person so digging up questionable 'dirt' on him proves nothing to these people. quit wasting your time. what has he ever done to you that it is sooo wrong for him to have fans still?

It bothers me too. You don't hear him ever mention her. Every once in awhile you might see an early picture of them together, but that's about it. He has a right to his privacy, that's for sure. I can't imagine that he's jealous of her. I think that's absurd. To be honest, some of the things I read about her aren't very flattering. Though I try not to believe everything I read. She is a beautiful girl. I don't think she has anywhere near his talent. She should probably stick to modeling. Jealous, no I can't see that.

I recall reading an article on him where he said his Dad became jealous of his success. It would be ironic if he had the same problem with his daughter. Hopefually they're getting along now that she's an adult.
I agree with you on his talent. Years ago Paul Rodriguz had a bilingual talk show and he had Cassidy on. I was struck by what a good live singer he was.
