I am sorry to hear you did'nt get to meet him after the concert. I do find it weird that they would announce his name in the casino, but he does'nt want to be bothered. He use to be much nicer yrs ago, but the last few years does'nt want to do Meet and Greets or meet fans before or after the show. He did a Meet and Greet in Nashville a few months ago, but only stayed 15-20 min., not the 45 mins he was suppose to. He also was interviewed by a Radio Station, so that took away from the time.
There are some crazy fans out there, but for decent ones like you it's ashame he won't take a min or 2 to say hello.
I also had a similar experience when I saw him at the Papermill Playhouse in Milburn, NJ last yr which happens to be only 10 mins from his childhood home. I was waiting by the stage door before the show. It was only me and another girl, who had come from Ca. to see him. She also really want to catch him, but left for a short time to make a phone call. Well he did'nt come in the regular door I was near. The car he was in went on the other side in a underground garage. The guard did'nt tell me of course. And when the girl came back I told her where he went and she said..you got to be kidding. I was really disappointed, because it was the first time I would have really had the nerve to say more to him. I have met him in the past when he was nicer and did say a few quick words, but wanted to say more this time. And it was only 2 people. It would'nt have been a hardship for him.
However the last few yrs when I see him, I just expect a good show, and being pleasant on stage. Can't even get a handshake anymore, because other fans block my way or shove me when I try to move forward. Well that's my story.

Sorry made a mistake in the last message. You said you was in a "Dance Club" not a "Casino"

I saw him in concert 2x last year, & even had the chance to meet him (through my contact as Fan club president) before one of the shows.

He's always done a very energetic show recently, he's been adding Beatles songs & Cry as a finale. I'd see him again!

I saw on his website that he will be writing another biography which comes out in March 2007. And he will be promoting the book in Great Britain in March or April. So maybe you will get a chance to see him then. I have a feeling he will add some concerts, since he will over there already.
I think the son did'nt want him to be away from home so much no matter where he tours. His son even sang at a show with b68him in London last yr. I am surprised David did'nt have a lighter schedule when his son was much younger. But I think that was when he was in Vegas and really needed to work.

I just lost all respect for the guy. Heard some radio djs talking about his new book and they said he brags on himself incessantly and brags that his "member" is so big, when he was younger, his friends nicknamed him "Donk," as in DONKEY (figure out why). WHY would he want to reveal that?? His kids are going to read that book. His relatives. His current friends. Seems really inappropriate and not something a classy guy would talk about.

Another thing I just thought of. Even tho David does'nt do that many concerts in Great Britain as he does in the UShe does a give the British fans a longer show of 2 hours. Over here in the US it's 1 1/2 hoursand sometimes in a casino 1hr 15 mins. I wish he would give a longer show here in the US!

OK, we saw him Friday night in Allentown at Lehigh University (Zoellner Arts Center). It was pretty expensive, $45 a pop. But, as others have said on this posting, he played for an hour and 20 minutes, no more, no less. Started at 8:10. I have to say that I was suprised at his voice. He has a very deep, pretty voice. He played the Partridge Family songs, including the TV show theme song. He claimed to be a friend of John Lennon's and played a few Beatles songs. His encore was dedicated to his dad (I forget what song it was!). Since he was in the Pennsylvania area, he gave a nod to the area and mentioned that he used to come with his dad to summerstock productions in Lambertville, NJ. So that was nice. For his last song, he said it was the greatest pop tune around, and that he'd always be rerecording it, and that the writer of the song was now dead (Tony Romeo). And with that, he launched into I Think I Love You. Which, at that point, the crowd finally got into the show and stood up and clapped and cheered. Most of the audience were 50 and over. I can check this off my list, now, and did enjoy it, but I doubt I'd go again.

I saw him April 29 in Mentor OH. The show was a little different (Thank goodness). I liked the fact that it's not the same everytime. The crowd was much bigger this time and more enthusiastic (I guess casino people get free passes so the last show's crowd wasn't so thrilled). He was great with the audience. What really struck me was the comaraderie among the fans. Everyone was happy and excited and had a great time. And once again, he actually sang versus lip synced. I could go on, but to sum it all up, totally worth the time and money. It's obvious he thoroughly enjoys performing.

Just this night I saw him at Mohegan Sun Casino in CT. He did a lot of covers (Beatles and Cream that I recognized) and the Partridge Family songs I could barely decipher. He couldn't remember his guitarist's name and did a pretty bad job of handling the guitar he was supposedly "playing". On the bright side, he was still pretty good looking and had quite a few women fans swooning. His singing isn't the best, but then was it ever? Have to give the man credit that he's still out there, if only at a free show in a casino.

He must have had a bad night. He probably had a senior moment forgetting the guitarist's name. I have been seeing him in concert since 2000 and his shows have always been good to excellent (his concert at Red Bank, NJ in Feb 2007 was fantastic!). I was almost going to go to this concert, but did'nt because it's too tiring to stand on line and I don't like the 3 hour drive. I prefer to see him in Atlantic City.

David always has trouble with his guitar. I have no clue why, but he does. The guitarist you saw was filling in for his usual5b4 guitarist. His regular guy was not there, so he did not forget the name of "his" guitar player. As for his voice, I think it is stronger and better than ever.

I saw him a couple of years ago, and it was very interesting. The stage he was on moved around, but it stopped about half way through. He spent the second part of the show moving around so that everybody could see him (though he didnt do it all that often so I spent most of the second act looking at his backside) There also were some groupies and David was not to happy when one tried to come on stage. He seemed really nice though and told some stories about the Partridge Family days. One story I remember him telling was about the theme song. They only recorded one version and it only took 5 min and forgot about it so he said that when the first couple times people sang it to him he did not realize it was the song from the show.
