There is a new book out about Sal Mineo.
David Cassidy met him when his step father directed Sal in a movie.
David was a teenager at the time.
David used to go over to Sal's place and Sal supplied David with drugs.
Sal was gay and David was straight.
Sal encouraged a girl to go after David, and Sal used to get his kicks out of watching David and the girl having sex.
Does anyone else out there know more about this relationship? -

I own Sal Mineo's official website. From what I know, Sal would 16d0smoke marijuana with David, but never supplied him with hard drugs. He never had sex with David. As far as Mineo getting his kicks watching David make love to a girl that Sal knew, it wasn't something that David or the girl knew. And it wasn't like a free for all orgy thing. It was the 1960's and sex was a free spirited thing. Sal watched a few times from the closet but nothing more than that. Pretty tame compared to many other stars in the 1960's.

David was about 15 or so at the time and was a minor. David did eventually turn to hard drugs.
It sounds like it was a set up and it would surprise me how David never figured out that Sal was gay and would have been interested in such a things as watching.
I also wondered why David said his father Jack introduced them when in fact the book said that his step-father Elliot introduced them.
David always makes errors in his interviews like this.
Just looking for feedback because I wondered why I feel there is more to the story.
