Yeah, I just saw Gilbert Grape again and I thought there's not a chance she's still alive. At first I thought it was some prostethic make-up job though, because there was a prostethic make-up guy in the credits.
I'm not trying to be mean, but if she's still that heavy it's just pure luck that she's still alive.

I actually thought she was wearing a fat suit and wanted to look up what actress played in it.
Hand to God did not know she was actually that overweight.
And yes, thought she'd be dead ten years.
She must have a mighty heart, tis sad, more worthy people deserve that strong heart.
Those foolish enough to move from canada to america increase the average I.Q. of both countries

It seems she has lost the weight at least a few times over the yrs. And gained some back due to illness/being bed ridden.
