Was discussing 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape' on another thread and all the thoughts about the movie, all the memories came rushing back. I remember how much I cried at the end of that movie. It was a truly remarkable, heartbreaking and tragic performance for which you shall always be revered. Hope you come back and act in more films because for people like us, Mrs Grape never really died in the film but lived on in our wonderful memories of a wonderful film

I think I can relate to the reclusiveness. I use to like to be around people, but I went through something traumatic and it got worse. It can be hard to "join creation" again.
You know, I think she is pretty. Just because someone is obese does not mean that they can't be pretty. There are a lot of people who have lost weight and I hope for her that she does achieve that for herself.
I can't stand it when people make fun of someone like Darlene. I knew a kid who was obese and he had a pituitary gland growth problem. No one knows what happens in another person's life, what they may be going through.
I wish she would do more movies, she is a natural with a lot of raw talent. And she seems so nice, that is what matters.
