Some of these posts are making me SICK. We are All human beings. Unfortunately, there are FAR too many "ings" trying to be "human".
Those who simply want nothing more than to achieve "Being Human", should simply be given the Grace due them. IF you HAVE to speak of GOD, Buddha, Jesu, Muhammad, THE, He, She, Thou, or WHATEVER HOLY NAME Though Proclaims, then all you "believers" ought to accept that "THE" doesn't MAKE MISTAKES!! It's a tremendous shame that the folks who seek to correct their body "ERROR" are made to feel SHAME.
What is wrong with ALL OF US?? No one is better than the nextYO! No one of us gets to claim a higher status!! We are flesh, blood, bone and water. We have GOT to STOP picking on each other! We're are ALL the same! (Yes, even Republicans, Democrats AND Liberalshaha.laugh, ok???)
You, who have these bigotries ,should be ashamed of yourselves.
We are all equally wonderful and perfect in our own way. -

Really?
Because transexual people are the only ones who can "cure" their "psychological problem" with an operation. That, by definition, means their problem is physical, not mental.
And as for the times you're not around, I wouldn't particularly mind it if you were-Brian -

Wow, now I know why this person is so ugly! And to think I was actually feeling sorry "for that poor woman" It all becomes clear now that I know that the ugly she is actually a he with makeup on.
Like it or not he's still a he no matter what sort of cutting was done to say otherwise would be wrong. Consider for instance women who are born without it being quite normal 'down there' and have a cross between a guys and a girls (And yes it really does happen) are they suddenly no longer female because of an unfortunate defect which they had no control over? Because if all it takes is the physical outward appearence then those women aren't women either!
This person may have hacked his body to bits and have slathered on makeup but he's still male. Call me a bigot if you like, but there's something so bigotish and unaccepting, (dare I say closeminded?) of people who call other people bigots.
I mean really, how come I'm only called closeminded when I'm talking to people who claim that being unaccepting of what others think is closeminded?
Think about it. -

How does "idiot" grab you? I prefer it to both bigot and close-minded in this case.
I'd try and explain the unfortunate circumstance of being transgendered, but I get the impression you know plenty about it and have chosen not to understand how awful it is. What a shame. -

I think its sad that this is such a huge issue. Arent we all predominantly female whilst in the womb? I must admit i dont have a lot of understanding about everything thats being argued about, but the comment about her kid growing up to be screwed up? Not true. I know more people in therapy that came from "normal" households than those who didnt, and surely its better that the child is in an environment where it feels loved and protected than being bounced around foster homes and care homes?
If shes happy, im happy. If she offends you, dont watch her work! She's still a person with feelings, just leave her be. -

I have no problem with him/her as a person. I'm sure theyre a wonderful person who is living their life the way they want.Having said that, saying the kid WON'T have issues about this is inane. The kid is going to grow up and will have two major issues to deal with. Firstly, it's adopted. Gonna have some issues on the kid. Secondly, its mom is a dude (in my opinion, chromosomes decide gender, not genitals)..not everybody is as open minded as some of you people. The kid is going to have some heavy issues to deal with.

I agree that yes the kid will have some stuff to deal with, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will be completely messed up or anything. The kid could still grow up completely psychologically sound.

MEDICAL FACT is she is NOT a woman
XY chromosome's => testes=> testosterone. She does not possess ovaries and does not experience menstrual cycles = NOT a woman. Get your facts straight.
But I applaud her triumph living in a shallow world where everything is based on appearance. If life hands you lemons you make lemonade, she got handed a penis and made well,. you know. -

oh geez. Can't we just break this down to the biological SCIENTIFIC BASICS. A person born with a penis is a man. A person born with a vagina is a woman. It's really that simple. Slice it how you want, but no amount of surgery or hormones will change that basic fact. He/she is a man, living as a woman, which is his/her's business. But to say that he/she is an actual real life woman is just silly. Take my car analogy for exampleI wrote it in my other post. I agree, people do not have the right to judge anyone else and I don't believe it's wrong or mean to refer to say that he is a man living as a woman. It's just a simple fact.

Well, getting away from science, and it is fascinating about brain mapping, etc., to me the most interesting thing about Ms. Cayne is the charisma and persona that she projects. She is a generously built actress who seems to project a very womanly, generous quality. I just saw her in Elementary and thought she was a brilliant choice for Mrs. Hudson.

I just saw her in Elementary and when Lucy Liu's Watson said something to the effect of "that's a man", I was like "NO SHE ISN'T!" The only thing a little off was her voice, otherwise she looks very feminine. Even knowing about the transgender thing, I don't see any trace of man in her. She's lovely.
