Thanks for my interest in RC? My God, anyone that doesn't love the man and is music must have something seriously wrong with them. I mean it. Never in my life have I heard such beautiful sounds. That heavens we have then for eternity.

sammieturner sounds like a very unhappy person. Fortunately, for all of Ray Charles' children, the Robinson "tribe" is loving and close, and not affected by mean-spirited comments.
Yesterday, June 10, 2005, on the first anniversary of Ray Charles' death, all of his kids and 3 of their mothers [Della, Mae and me] got together to honor and celebrate their father - the wonderful man who touched their lives so deeply; and to celebrate the Robinson "tribe".
The service, which was conducted by Ray Charles' 3rd oldest son, Rev. Robert F. Robinson, was small [family only] and touching. All of the kids spoke, and Sheila sang.
FYI, in addition to supporting all of his children financially, Ray Charles was part of their lives, [as much as he could] , went to their graduations, weddings, etc. In fact, for Corey [his youngest] he would even visit his school on career days, and explain to Corey's classmates what Ray Charles did for a living. He always kept current on Corey's report cards, talked to his teachers, remembered his birthdays, and made sure his staff knew to interrupt him if Corey wanted to see him, even if he was in his studio and his red light was on.
Ray Charles set up generous trust funds for all of his children, but more importantly, he made sure that all of his children knew each other. There is a lot of love in the Robinson 'tribe' - both between the 12 brothers and sisters, but also, for the wonderful man who was their father.
To all who have posted messages with love for Ray Charles - please know their love for Ray Charles is sincerely noted and greatly appreciated by his family. -

aint seen corey but im sure hes a good man if he's anthing like his dad!!!
i love ray charles he was and still is in spirit an amazing character.
by the way Robinette, if you loved ray so much why did you try milking him of his money, demanding another $3000 dollars a month from 73 old man who is visually impared and has another 12 children to support isn't my definition of love. im not condemimg you as no nothing about what goes on behind closed doors. all im saying by doing that is a funny way of showing a man you love him. -

I think it is halarious how the topic of this board can go from a question about one of Ray's children to if someone posting is actually who they say they are and turns into an argument between posters. I'm not saying you dont have the right to post whatever you want to anyone, and this isnt directed at any particular person, I just think it is halarious how the subject can be changed so much and get off the true topic. Alot of it is immaturity, now I know someone is going to comment on me posting this but it seems like abuse of the boards.
Now, so i don't get off topic
In his day Ray was quite the lady's man himselfnot only because he's famous or etc. He was an attractive man, not surprising his son is as well. -

xBlondiex.let me just give Robinette the benefit of the doubt. If her son, Corey is indeed Ray's son and she had a relationship with Ray then who says she can't know how to use a computer or the internet? Let's pretend Corey is 17, his Mom could have been 30ish or even moreheck, let's make her 40 to be on the safe side. Let's add a few more years for fun and that would make her 60 at most. Hmmmmm.my mother has been using the internet/e-mail/computer for well over 10 years and is nearly 65. Please don't assume anyone is ever too old to get on the internet and post. If Robinette is who she says she is, I'd say she already got a life.

You guys are really funny. Do you really think that only people under 40 can use computers? FYI, Ray Charles, who was 74 when he died, knew how to use the internet well. In fact, his system was set up so that he could read his e-mails in braille if he wanted to, or listen to them. Oh wel2000l, it is what it is, I guess. Much love.
