I'm not sure if your advocating necromancy or suggesting we accelerate the rapture.
If it is the latter I am afraid I must remind you the term limit for the president is fixed and so is the schedule for the presidential election. -

Stephen and his staff are incredibly imaginative and one of the best shows on the air. Even Robert Di Niro raved about it when he appeared on the show this year. Colbert is never mean spirited, something i always found distasteful on Lettermans show. He often poked fun at a guest. Also, the way he prolonged a hug beyond comfortability with beautiful women bordered on sexual intimidation.

Hmm. as much as I hate to say it, I liked the fake Stephen Colbert as well.
The thing is though, if he were to play fake Colbert now, it wouldn't be the same.
When he was playing someone else, we could all pretend that it was all just an act, and he is actually a decent person, but having seen him for so long out of character. I'm starting to realize that his humor is rather weak - he is dorky - he is deeply religious - he has more in common with republicans than democrats - he is very pretentious.
As such, it's now impossible to pretend that he is the opposite of the fake Colbert - and the fake Colbert is far from being funny if taken in a serious context.
