Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Michael Cole

    jbs64 — 18 years ago(January 20, 2008 06:07 PM)

I watched the show when I was just a little girl. I had such a huge crush on Michael Cole that I begged my parents to buy me the Ankh and I always wore white sneakers. At the risk of sounding cliche if it wasn't for my spirituality and shows like the Mod Squad I don't think I would have ever made it through adolescence alive. Everyone has a sad story about growing up and mine is no exception. But the incredible adrenalin rush I would receive from watching Michael Cole helped me gently surrender into a safe fantasy world when the real world became too cruel. Back then there weren't cool conventions where you can go and meet your television heroes. But it's nice to know today we have message boards to conveniently send our messages of love and thanks across the miles to let someone know how much they affected our lives. Thank you Mr. Cole. You helped me survive without you even knowing me.

Wow that was really touching. I relate because Mr Cole also helped me during my teen years as well. Good luck to you.
