I liked her as Tru's sister on "Tru Calling" and hated that she left. Anyone know why?

I couldn't find season 1 Part 1, so I had just rewatched season 1 part 2 and season 2. She wasn't even in it at all.
I finally found season 1 part 1 and saw all her episodes again.
Anyone know why she left?

Like many supporting characters in todays shows - she just disappeared one day. No further mentioning her name by Tru, Harry, or anyone else.
Personally, I think when Tru did a rewind, Meridith got overwritten.
