I'm one of Sam's biggest fans and everytime I watch a show or read something about him, You Send Me is always the song mentioned as his biggest hit or most well known.
I think the song is okay, it's probably my least fav, but I like the sound that he lets off in songs like The Riddle Song, That's Where It's At, Keep Moving On, Bring It On Home To Me, A Country Boy, and the others that have that sound to it.
I just wanted to know from your opinions why You Send Me is so specail.
I am in no way trying to insult Sam!

Simply put, "You Send Me" was rhythm and blues and gospel music combined together to form a new genre - soul music. It was basically the first song of it's time and changed the way all singers wrote at the time.
